Since November 2011, we formed the trust and began a trust fund that was not to be spent on anything but the apparatus used for the aid of people. From 2012- 13, the Ramdhana Welfare Trust – UK members, personally donated a grand total of £8,335.00 which was purely used for the assistance of those in need.The money in our trust fund equals to about £10,000.00 as of 2016. This money was gathered by charging for memberships and small monthly member donations. Our aim is to increase this fund to execute the following goals:
- Health for the poor – We plan to open a local medical clinic to provide constant healthcare.
- Education for disadvantaged children – Our aim is to bestow scholarships to very able children who cannot afford to go to school or extend to further education. We hope to let them fulfil their dreams.
- Housing – We feel that there are too many people who do not have shelter; one of the human rights is that all humans deserve shelter. It is because of this that we want to provide some kind of shelter to allow them to manage and call a place home rather than sleeping in horrendous conditions.
- Food – Already, we do our best to provide food to those in need, however, as this is a continuous issue, what we are doing at the moment in the month of Ramadan is not enough, so we hope to expand on this.
All charities require a fund to keep them going, so out of the sake of humanity, do something good and donate to help innocent people.
